Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers help to diminish stagnant facial lines (lines that are still present when the face is at rest) and restore volume and fullness in the face. They are typically made of three formulations, such as hyaluronic acid, calcium hydroxylapatite (CAHA), and poly-L-lactic acid.

As we age, our faces naturally lose subcutaneous fat. Additionally, the fatty pads in the areas of the face such as cheeks begin to fall forward as we age due to gravity. This is what causes unsightly features such as nasolabial lines and jowels. The facial muscles are then working closer to the skin surface, so smile lines and crow’s feet become more apparent.

Dermal fillers are then used to create structure and add volume back into the face where areas have been lost or diminished. With the extensive training done by our team at Serendipity, (including internationally!), you can be assured that you will love your results!

Benefits of Dermal Fillers:

Wrinkle Reduction
Dermal fillers can effectively reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, particularly in areas like the nasolabial folds (smile lines), marionette lines, and the lines around the mouth and eyes.

Restoring Volume
As we age, our skin loses volume, leading to a sunken or hollow appearance. Dermal fillers can restore volume to areas like the cheeks, tear troughs and temples, giving the face a fuller, more youthful look.

Enhancing Facial Contours
Dermal fillers can be used to augment and enhance facial features, such as the lips, chin, and jawline, creating a more balanced and attractive appearance.

Gradual Results
The results of dermal fillers are usually seen immediately, and they continue to improve in the days following the treatment as any swelling subsides. This can lead to a more natural-looking outcome.

Reversible Effects
In the case of hyaluronic acid-based fillers, which are the most common type, the effects can be reversed using an enzyme called hyaluronidase, providing an added level of safety.

Boosts Collagen Production
Some dermal fillers, like  calcium hydroxylapatite (CAHA, stimulate collagen production in the treated areas, leading to longer-lasting results.

Longevity
While the duration of results varies depending on the type of filler used and individual factors, most dermal fillers offer results that can last from 9 months to over a year.

Customizable Treatment
Dermal filler treatments can be tailored to the specific needs and desires of each patient, ensuring a personalized and natural outcome.
